How Can We Transform Our schools?

Special education is an essential area of focus for Charles County Rise as we know the federally protected rights of many students with thinking and learning differences are not being met. Our group is dedicated to providing exceptional support and resources for students with learning differences and disabilities and their families. By investing in specialized programs, training for educators, and inclusive practices, we can ensure that students in special education programs receive the individualized attention and accommodations necessary for their educational success. We will partner with other national and local advocates and community based organizations to increase our collective impact to help families and students.

Charles County Rise recognizes the importance of a culturally responsive curriculum. This approach acknowledges and values students' diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We aim to advocate for every student to have access to an inclusive and engaging learning environment by incorporating culturally relevant content into the curriculum.
